Dua Lipa is a British musician and singer who was born in London United Kingdom on August 22nd, 1995. She signed a contract with Warner Bros Records after a several years of hard work. She dropped her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. It peaked at number three in the U.K. Albums Chart and was followed by eight singles including Be The One I.D.G.A.F as well as the U.K. number-one song New Rules which peaked at number six on the charts in the United States. Lipa was awarded her Brit Awards in 2018 for British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act. Her album has been certified as platinum across the globe in a variety of countries. The parents of her are Albanians from Kosovo. Anesa Laxha and Dukagjin lipa. Her parents are of Bosnian origin by the maternal grandparents of her. Her ancestry can be traced back to Peja, a city in Kosovo. The two grandparents of Lipa were both historians. Gjin along with Rina are her sisters. Her musical inspirations come from her father who is the guitarist and singer of the Kosovan the rock group Oda. The band was heavily influenced by their father's music, which included his music compositions and songs like David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was five years old. At the age of nineteen, she started singing at Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa sang in the song If I'm Not Gone You from Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. Lipa's record contract signed with Warner Bros. Records was made in the year the year 2014. New Love, Lipa's debut single was released in august 2015.
