Lis Wiehl (born August 19, 1960) is an American writer and former legal analyst for Fox News.
She is an adjunct professor at Law, New York Law School. Previously she was associate professor of Law University of Washington Law School. She has provided legal commentaries for National Public Radio program and on Bill O'Reilly's radio show, The Radio Factor. She has a regular appearance presenter on The O'Reilly Factor. The Kelly File The Kelly File with Megyn Kelly. Lou Dobbs Presently. The Imus Breakfast Shows. Legal Lis is the Legal Lis podcast and radio show.
Wiehl is a native of Yakima, Washington, and graduated from West Valley High School in Yakima. She earned a bachelor's qualification in law from Barnard College (1983), the Master of Arts in Literary Studies at the University of Queensland (1985), and she earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Harvard Law School (1997).
Wiehl worked as a prosecutor for the US Attorney's Office. The correspondent was a lawyer on NPR's All Things Considered. She served as the Chief Investigating Counsel for the Democrats of the House Judiciary Committee, during Clinton's impeachment. She was a law professor as a tenured law professor at University of Washington School of Law Seattle in charge of the Trial Advocacy Program from 1995 through 2001. From 2001 until 2017 Wiehl worked as an analyst in the field of law for Fox News.
